Piotr Jańczak’s Ver reducit gaudia is a setting of an anonymous Latin text celebrating the return of spring, the blooming of nature and the departure of winter and sadness. Written for female choir (SSAA), the piece begins with a calm, lyrical Cantabile section before developing into a more rhythmic and energetic Allegro. It later returns to the opening character and closes softly.
