Piotr Jańczak: Pater noster (TTBB)

Piotr Jańczak’s Pater noster is an expressive setting of the traditional Latin Lord’s Prayer for TTBB male choir a cappella. The music opens with a mysterious, recitative-like character and develops through contrasting dynamics, rhythmic movement and rich four-part writing.

The work moves between restrained, intimate passages and more powerful moments, with the repeated “Pater noster” creating a strong sense of continuity. The final “Amen” gradually fades into a very quiet conclusion, giving the piece a contemplative character.
