Piotr Jańczak: Kyrie (SATB)

Piotr Jańczak’s Kyrie is a dramatic a cappella setting for SATB mixed choir, combining a stately opening with increasingly energetic rhythmic passages. Strong accents, repeated Kyrie eleison and Christe eleison phrases, and sharp dynamic contrasts give the music a powerful sense of momentum. The work moves between measured, solemn statements and vigorous, driving sections before returning to its majestic opening character.

A compelling option for mixed choirs seeking expressive sacred repertoire with rhythmic intensity and contrasting musical moods.
