A representative collection of Miklós Csemiczky’s unaccompanied works for female and children’s choirs. The volume presents the composer’s distinctive and versatile musical voice, ranging from lyrical and spiritual works to playful and humorous character pieces.
At the heart of the collection are three unusual songs inspired by a unique blend of Hungarian poetry and musical imagination: Lady Owl, together with the three pieces from Three Absurd Songs: The Jealous Band-Aid, I Once Had a Snowfall, and Tasziló, the Beauty King. The volume also includes Csemiczky’s Ave Maria and Missa Brevis, bringing together works of both lighter and more serious character.
The collection is particularly suited to female, children’s, and other equal-voice choirs, and offers distinctive repertoire for concerts, competitions, and festivals.
