Herbert Paulmichl’s Missa brevis is a setting of the Mass Ordinary for three-part female choir (SSA), with optional organ or harp accompaniment. The work combines clear, melodic vocal writing with varied rhythms, dynamic contrasts and rich harmonies. Its four sections move between solemn, prayerful passages and more energetic expressions of praise, offering a varied and engaging addition to sacred concert or liturgical programmes.
