A rhythmic, jazz-inflected setting of the clown’s song from Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night (Act II, Scene IV). The work reinterpret the melancholic "Come away, death" text with modern energy, utilizing syncopated choral textures and biting harmonies. A sophisticated and tonally adventurous secular choice for advanced mixed choirs.
