Dobszay-Meskó Ilona’s Alleluja – Ego tecum sum is a contemporary work for SATB mixed choir a cappella. Repeated Alleluia phrases create a strong rhythmic foundation, while changing harmonies and dynamic contrasts shape the music from quiet, flowing passages to powerful choral climaxes. The Latin text, “Ne timeas, quia ego tecum sum” (“Do not fear, for I am with you”), gives the work a message of reassurance and hope.
A compelling option for mixed choirs looking for contemporary sacred repertoire with rhythmic drive and expressive harmonic writing.
