Aurelio Porfiri: I Want You to Be My Friend (SSAA, Piano)

Aurelio Porfiri’s I Want You to Be My Friend is a lyrical choral work about friendship, trust and standing by one another. A soloist introduces the text before the choir joins in warm, expressive harmonies, supported by piano accompaniment. With its accessible message and clear musical structure, it is a thoughtful choice for youth and women’s choirs, friendship-themed programmes and concerts celebrating connection and community.
