Special Prize for Best Original Lyrics — “Nuove Musiche dalla Livenza” Composition Competition 2021
Angelo Bernardelli’s Raccontami ancora (“Tell Me Again”) is a lyrical work for two-part choir and piano that celebrates the power of stories to bring comfort, courage and a sense of connection. Its Italian text evokes distant lands, encounters with unfamiliar faces and journeys towards the stars. A flowing melody and expressive piano accompaniment support the text’s sense of wonder, while the recurring plea to “tell me again” gives the piece a warm, reassuring character. A thoughtful choice for school choirs and concerts exploring imagination, storytelling and human connection.
