Ars Nova Natalis – Contemporary Christmas Choral Music

Ars Nova Natalis is a collection of contemporary choral works inspired by the Advent and Christmas season, featuring music by Hungarian, Italian and Irish composers. The anthology brings together a diverse range of musical styles, from intimate and contemplative settings to lively, playful and distinctly contemporary pieces.

The collection offers repertoire for mixed, female and children’s choirs, including a cappella works, piano-accompanied pieces and an unusual setting for unison choir with body percussion. Excerpts from Christmas oratorios provide further options for mixed and children’s choirs with soloist. With varying levels of difficulty and a wide range of musical characters, the anthology offers fresh repertoire for choirs preparing their Christmas concerts and seasonal performances.
